poem: your grandma’s love poems — 3

Feb 24, 2025

breath reeking

poison ingested

willfully

armpits foul from

frivolous if non fulfilling folly

thighs firm and

solicitous

tongue lying lilting

lovely listless

I know u now

not like before we met

and I longed to taste such ignorance

unbecoming

surely

became what was deserved

plunging thru offal

less than awful wanton waste

u paid former ignorance

a favor

deigning not to learn my name

whose child I am

just

imposing your ancient

lack on what

you thought

I didn’t have

even then

I guarded

hope in a hopeless haven

faith in a hapless

un real itty

even then

I stayed

my welcome never waning

nor worn

just un welcome

now gone

I no longer see

the trees trembling

in tumult

The forest is in focus.
