Though not “racist reasons,” they are used as justifications to fire Black &/or Brown employees when no CAUSE is present. Another, maybe less frequent but one I’ve heard is “no sense of urgency.” When many of us try to remain calm under pressure and still get the job done, this refrain may pop up.
